BIM requirement threshold in public works
From the January 1, 2026, Public works contracts starting at €2 million require BIM requirements. It's not a scoring criterion: it's a access condition. And the tender documents don't always ask for what they seem to.
The BIM Plan in public procurement sets these thresholds, and the wording of each tender translates the applicable level to deliverables, roles and processes aligned with ISO 19650. That is where admissibility is decided.
